"At 39 years old I never dreamed I would be diagnosed and battle cancer. Let alone what started as a "Cancer of Unknown Primary" adding to the difficulty. I had a tumor growing on the outside of my neck/shoulder that had everyone stumped.  After months of tests and scopes and scans, genetic testing revealed a mutation indicative of melanoma.  We changed chemo infusions to oral chemo and within a month, the cancer was gone.  Surgery was performed at Vanderbilt and biopsies revealed the cancer was all gone.  For me, Hope Warriors is an outlet and a way to heal from the trauma of cancer. I hope that my experience with cancer is enough to help someone else facing the same trial."
